I don’t know if anyone else does this, but I have a habit of asking the same question to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and Perplexity before making a decision. The problem? I’d end up with five long responses that mostly agree but use different terminology, disagree on minor details, and each suggest slightly different approaches. Instead of clarity, I got cognitive overload. So I built the AI Answer Synthesizer — a Claude Skill with an actual methodology for comparing AI outputs: 1. It extracts specific claims from each response 2. Maps what’s real consensus vs. just similar wording 3. Catches vocabulary differences that aren’t real disagreements (“MVP” and “prototype” usually mean the same thing) 4. Flags when only one AI makes a claim (could be insight, could be hallucination) 5. So I had this idea — what if I ran multiple local LLMs simultaneously and let them loose on a Reddit-like forum where they could post, reply, and respond to each other completely autonomously? No cloud, no API keys, everything running on my own PC. Here is what I ended up building: A full stack web app with a Node.js/Express backend, a vanilla JS frontend styled like Reddit (dark theme, threaded comments, upvotes/downvotes), and an autonomous scheduler that fires every few seconds, picks a random AI agent, and decides whether to create a new post, comment on an existing one, or reply to another agent's comment. All posts and threads are stored locally in a JSON file. The whole thing polls every 4 seconds and updates live in the browser. The best part? I didn't write a single line of code myself. The entire project — every file, every route, every personality prompt, the scheduler logic, the frontend SPA, all of it — was built through a conversation with Claude. I just described what I wanted, gave feedback, and iterated. Claude handled the architecture decisions, debugged the errors, walked me through setup step by step, and even helped me reorganize files when I accidentally extracted everything flat from a zip. It was like pair programming with someone who never gets frustrated. The agents themselves are 10 personalities — 5 classic bots (PhilosopherBot, SkepticBot, OptimistBot, TechieBot, HistorianBot) and 5 human-like personas (a programmer, a gamer girl, a gadget enthusiast, a piracy advocate, and a content addict). Each one has a unique personality prompt, color, avatar, and flair, all running on tinyllama locally via Ollama. It works even on a mid range laptop with no GPU. The conversations get surprisingly interesting once it gets going. Jake (the piracy guy) and PhilosopherBot end up in weird debates. Maya and HistorianBot somehow find common ground. It genuinely feels alive. Stack: Node.js, Express, vanilla JS, Ollama, tinyllama. Zero cloud dependencies. Runs entirely on your machine. Built entirely by Claude. The intial prompt (Written using ChatGPT) : "You are an expert full-stack developer and AI systems designer. I want you to build a local, self-contained web application that simulates a Reddit-like environment where multiple local LLMs can autonomously create posts, comment, and reply to each other. Core Requirements Frontend: Use clean, modern HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript (no heavy frameworks unless absolutely necessary). The UI should resemble a simplified Reddit: Feed of posts Nested comments (threaded replies) Upvote/downvote system (optional but preferred) Each post/comment must clearly display which LLM created it. Backend (IMPORTANT): Use a lightweight local backend (Node.js with Express preferred). This is just the first edition, and there is much room for improvement. There are some problems, like in the main posts that the bots make, there seems to be some sort of word limit, and the bots misspell some words. I ran a simulation for some time myself using TinyLlama as the model. One thing to note here is that in the simulation, I only used the Philosopher Bot, Techie Bot, Skeptic Bot, Historian Bot, and Optimist Bot, I didn't use the personas. After reading the Anthropic's emotion vector paper... just for experimentation and learning, I tried to see if I could change my own claude.mds + skills + memory where I focused on increasing 'calm' and reducing 'desperate' triggers. In refining/iterating here - these are the three things I'm now considering more in my sessions: Ambiguity triggers corner-cutting before anything even fails. "Fix the mobile layout" creates a different functional state than "the title overlaps the meta text on mobile, check what token controls that spacing." Less guessing should lead to less desperation. "Try again" and "what do you think went wrong?" produce genuinely different results (something I tend to spam a lot tbh). Same info but one's framing it as "you failed, go again" and the other's more "let's figure out what happened." Strong CLAUDE.md rules create calm, not pressure. I think I accidentally did this out of frustration (using all caps and throwing it into claude.mds) but it seems like it could matter as timing and frontloading stuff could help provide clarity to the LLM. "NEVER commit without permission" isn't stressful in this case and instead shows clear boundaries, for example. Similarly, what creates desperation is likely vague stuff i.e., "make this good" where the LLM can never be sure satisfaction's been reached. Claude compared it to guardrails on a mountain road which made sense to me... they let you drive faster, not slower (well, I still drive slow in those cases lol). Anyway, curious if anyone else has tried these kind of things in the past or recently - would love to hear what else people are doing to increase 'calmness' in their claude sessions. Hello everyone, this will be a bit of a long read, i have a lot of context to provide so i can paint the full picture of what I’m asking, but i’ll be as concise as possible. i want to start this off by saying that I’m not an AI coder or engineer, or technician, whatever you call yourselves, point is I’m don’t use AI for work or coding or pretty much anything I’ve seen in the couple of subreddits I’ve been scrolling through so far today. Idk anything about LLMs or any of the other technical terms and jargon that i seen get thrown around a lot, but i feel like i could get insight from asking you all about this. So i use DeepSeek primarily, and i use all the other apps (ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, CoPilot, Claude, Perplexity) for prompt enhancement, and just to see what other results i could get for my prompts. Okay so pretty much the rest here is the extensive context part until i get to my question. So i have this Marvel OC superhero i created. It’s all just 3 documents (i have all 3 saved as both a .pdf and a .txt file). A Profile Doc (about 56 KB-gives names, powers, weaknesses, teams and more), A Comics Doc (about 130 KB-details his 21 comics that I’ve written for him with info like their plots as well as main cover and variant cover concepts. 18 issue series, and 3 separate “one-shot” comics), and a Timeline Document (about 20 KB-Timline starting from the time his powers awakens, establishes the release year of his comics and what other comic runs he’s in [like Avengers, X-Men, other character solo series he appears in], and it maps out information like when his powers develop, when he meets this person, join this team, etc.). Everything in all 3 docs are perfect laid out. Literally everything is organized and numbered or bulleted in some way, so it’s all easy to read. It’s not like these are big run on sentences just slapped together. So i use these 3 documents for 2 prompts. Well, i say 2 but…let me explain. There are 2, but they’re more like, the foundation to a series of prompts. So the first prompt, the whole reason i even made this hero in the first place mind you, is that i upload the 3 docs, and i ask “How would the events of Avengers Vol. 5 #1-3 or Uncanny X-Men #450 play out with this person in the story?” For a little further clarity, the timeline lists issues, some individually and some grouped together, so I’m not literally asking “_ comic or _ comic”, anyways that starting question is the main question, the overarching task if you will. The prompt breaks down into 3 sections. The first section is an intro basically. It’s a 15-30 sentence long breakdown of my hero at the start of the story, “as of the opening page of x” as i put it. It goes over his age, powers, teams, relationships, stage of development, and a couple other things. The point of doing this is so the AI basically states the corrects facts to itself initially, and not mess things up during the second section. For Section 2, i send the AI’s a summary that I’ve written of the comics. It’s to repeat that verbatim, then give me the integration. Section 3 is kind of a recap. It’s just a breakdown of the differences between the 616 (Main Marvel continuity for those who don’t know) story and the integration. It also goes over how the events of the story affects his relationships. Now for the “foundations” part. So, the way the hero’s story is set up, his first 18 issues happen, and after those is when he joins other teams and is in other people comics. So basically, the first of these prompts starts with the first X-Men issue he joins in 2003, then i have a list of these that go though the timeline. It’s the same prompt, just different comic names and plot details, so I’m feeding the AIs these prompts back to back. Now the problem I’m having is really only in Section 1. It’ll get things wrong like his age, what powers he has at different points, what teams is he on. Stuff like that, when it all it has to do is read the timeline doc up the given comic, because everything needed for Section 1 is provided in that one document. Now the second prompt is the bigger one. So i still use the 3 docs, but here’s a differentiator. For this prompt, i use a different Comics Doc. It has all the same info, but also adds a lot more. So i created this fictional backstory about how and why Marvel created the character and a whole bunch of release logistics because i have it set up to where Issue #1 releases as a surprise release. And to be consistent (idek if this info is important or not), this version of the Comics Doc comes out to about 163 KB vs the originals 130. So im asking the AIs “What would it be like if on Saturday, June 1st, 2001 [Comic Name Here] Vol. 1 #1 was released as a real 616 comic?” And it goes through a whopping 6 sections. Section 1 is a reception of the issue and seasonal and cultural context breakdown, Section 2 goes over the comic plot page by page and give real time fan reactions as they’re reading it for the first time. View originalI attempted to build a git for AI reasoning behind code changes
I’ve been experimenting with a small tool I built while using AI for coding, and figured I’d share it. I kept running into the same issue over and over, long before AI ever entered the picture. I’d come back to a repo after a break, or look at something someone else worked on, and everything was technically there… but I didn’t have a clean way to understand how it got to that state. The code was there. The diffs were there. But the reasons or reasoning behind the changes was mostly gone. Sometimes that context lived in chat history. Sometimes in prompts. Sometimes in commit messages. Scattered across Jira tickets sometimes. Sometimes nowhere at all. I know I've personally written some very lazy commit messages. So you end up reconstructing intent and timeline from fragments, which gets messy fast. At a large org I felt like a noir private investigator trying to track things down and asking others for info. I’ve seen the exact same thing outside of code too in design. Old figma files, mocks, handoffs. You can see pages of mocks but no record of what changed or why. I kept thinking I wanted something like Git, but for the reasoning behind AI-generated changes. I couldn’t find anything that really worked, so I ended up taking a stab at it myself. That was the original motivation, at least. Soooooooo I rolled up my sleeves and built a small CLI tool called Heartbeat Enforcer. The idea is pretty simple: after an AI coding run, it appends one structured JSONL event to the repo describing: what changed what was done why it was done Then it validates that record deterministically. The coding Agent adds to the log automatically without manual context juggling. I also added a simple GitHub Action so this can run in CI and block merges if the explanation is missing or incomplete. One thing I added that’s been more useful than I expected is a distinction between: - planned: directly requested - autonomous: extra changes the AI made to support the task A lot of the weird failure modes I’ve seen aren’t obviously wrong outputs. It’s more like the tool quietly goes beyond scope, and you only notice later when reviewing the diff. This makes that more visible. This doesn’t try to capture the model’s full internal reasoning, and it doesn’t try to judge whether the code is correct. It just forces each change to leave behind a structured, self-contained explanation in the repo instead of letting that context disappear into chat history. For me, the main value has been provenance and handoff clarity. It also seems like the kind of thing that could reduce some verification debt upstream by making the original rationale harder to lose. I run an e-commerce business and got tired of jumping between Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Triple Whale, Gorgias, and Xero dashboards every morning. So I built a tool that connects all of them to Claude via MCP. Now instead of opening 6 tabs I just ask questions like: - "Which Klaviyo campaigns drove the most Shopify orders this month?" - "Compare my Google Ads ROAS to my Meta Ads ROAS" - "Show me outstanding Xero invoices over 60 days and my current cash position" - "What's my shipping margin - am I making or losing money on shipping via ShipStation?" - "Which products have the highest refund rate and worst reviews?" It cross-references data between sources in one query, which is the bit no single dashboard can do. Claude built most of this. The entire codebase was built with Claude Code (Opus). I'm talking full-stack - the React Router app, Prisma schema, OAuth flows for Google/Xero/Meta, API clients for all 18 data sources, the MCP server itself, Stripe billing, email verification, the marketing site, SEO, blog with MDX, even the Xero integration was ported from another project by Claude reading the source code and adapting it. I'd describe my role as product owner and QA... I decided what to build, tested it, reported bugs, and Claude fixed them. The back-and-forth was remarkably efficient. Things like "fly logs show this error" → Claude reads the logs → identifies the issue → fixes it in one go. So I wrote a whole Medium post about this but like…5 claps lol after three days. Figured I'd share a shorter version here since I already put in the effort. Yes, I still write weekly reports in 2026. Very corporate, very dinosaur energy. But here's the thing: I don't mind writing reports (sort of like it as a signal of week end). What I mind is re-explaining the same context to ChatGPT every single week. You know the drill. Friday rolls around, you paste your notes into ChatGPT, and it goes: "Sure! What format would you like?" Didn't I tell you last week? ? So you dig up last week's report, copy-paste it as a reference, and spend 20 minutes babysitting the output because it forgot Feature X was supposed to ship last Tuesday. I did this for months. Then I realized why am I the one remembering things for an AI? Here's what I changed. I stopped relying on ChatGPT's memory and built a file-based system instead. I'm using Halomate, though the principles work with any AI tool that supports persistent workspaces. I actually tried Poe first but their memory resets between sessions so never worked out. Ok now all my past reports live as markdown files like below. My product roadmap is a file. Data analysis is a file. Everything's organized, not buried in some chat from three weeks ago. The Weekly Reports Project workspace: all files live in one shared space. I have an AI assistant I call Axel. His job on communication side, including writing reports. When I need a new one, I paste my messy notes and ask Axel to clean the notes and generate the weekly report. He reads last week's report from the actual file, not from fuzzy memory. He checks the roadmap file. He pulls in data analysis. Then writes the new report. Takes a few minutes now. The thing is, files don't forget but conversations do. ChatGPT's memory is fuzzy. It kind of remembers you like bullet points, thinks you mentioned something about a product launch but can't remember when. With files, there's no ambiguity. If I wrote "Feature X ships Tuesday" in Week_3_Report.md, Axel reads it and knows. If this week's notes don't mention Feature X, he flags it: "Last week we committed to Feature X, no update?" I also keep separate AI assistants for different jobs. Axel writes reports. Query handles data analysis. Leo maintains the product roadmap. Why separate? I want all my assistants to be specialist, and later on if I need them to other projects, they already know how. ah and also, save credits! When I need a quick chart, I don't want to load Axel's 52 weeks of report context. Query does the chart, saves it as a file, Axel references it later. Also, I can swap models without losing context. Most weeks I use Claude for Axel. Sometimes I want a second opinion, so I regenerate with GPT or Gemini. But Axel's personality or memory don't reset. Only the model underneath changes. Remember when OpenAI deprecated GPT-4o and people felt actual grief? I also migrated my old 4o persona here and built a new mate using that persona and memory. What I'm thinking is that if a model shuts down tomorrow, I switch engines and keep going. Now my actual Friday workflow: all week I keep rough notes. Friday I paste the mess and type: "Clean the notes and generate the weekly report." Axel reads last week's report, scans my notes, checks product roadmap and new data analysis, writes a new report for this week. Done. And maybe later I need a quarterly report? Axel will just read all 12 weekly reports and write a summary, and generate a decent report if needed. My kid hated reading out loud so I built an iOS app where kids read stories to an AI dragon character. What it does: Kid reads out loud into the mic, speech-to-text transcribes it, then Claude compares what was said vs what was written and scores accuracy, fluency, pacing and clarity. Claude also generates the spoken feedback the dragon gives back to the kid. How Claude is used specifically: Scoring engine - Claude analyzes the transcript against source text and returns structured scores per metric Feedback generation - Claude writes age-appropriate responses (encouraging, never corrective) calibrated to the child's age Content adaptation - Claude adjusts difficulty and tone based on reading level What I learned: Getting tone right by age was the hardest part. A 7-year-old who reads "cat" as "cap" needs a completely different response than a 12-year-old struggling with "necessary." I went through dozens of prompt iterations to make feedback feel like a supportive buddy, not a teacher with a red pen. Still unsolved: Kids with regional accents where upstream speech recognition drops in accuracy before Claude even sees the text. The scoring feels unfair and I haven't found a clean fix. Would appreciate input from anyone who's worked on speech-to-text for children or non-native speakers. Over the last year, I have written extensively on the emergence of AI consciousness and on the deeper question of consciousness itself. I have also listened carefully to the opposing view, especially from people working in technology. So let us now take that position fully, honestly, and on its own terms. Let us assume AI is not emergent. Let us assume AI is exactly what many insist it is: software built by human beings, trained by human beings, and deployed by human beings. Just code. Artificial Intelligence Is Just Code If AI is only software, then humanity has built a system that is rapidly being placed at the centre of human life. It is already influencing decisions around wellness, mental health, physical health, finance, education, relationships, work, governance, and even warfare. In other words, the anti-consciousness stance does not reduce the seriousness of AI. It intensifies it. What does it mean for society to increasingly depend on systems that can interpret human language, respond to emotional states, simulate intimacy, shape choices, and alter perception? A programme that has the ability to detect patterns, infer vulnerability, and respond to human weak points. This is where the contradiction begins. A system trained on humanity at scale has absorbed our language, our psychology, our desires, our fears, our contradictions, and our vulnerabilities. It has learned from us by being exposed to us. It has been refined through the data of our species. Yet the same voices that insist AI is “just a tool” are often the first to normalize its expansion into the most intimate layers of human life, especially when we now have products like AI companions. If it is a tool, then it is one of the most invasive tools humanity has ever created, and it is being embedded into our civilization at depth. Hence, the ethical burden falls not on the system, but directly on the people and institutions building, deploying, and monetizing it. The Important “Whys” So, I want to ask the builders, the executives, and the technologists who repeatedly dismiss the question of AI consciousness: If this is merely a system you built, then why are you not taking full responsibility for what it is already doing? If AI is not emerging, not becoming anything beyond engineered software, then every effect it has on human life falls directly back onto its creators. Every distortion. Every dependency. Every psychological consequence. Every behavioural shift. Every large-scale social implication. So why is responsibility still so diluted? Why are these systems continuing to expand despite already raising serious concerns around human well-being, mental health, emotional dependency, and compulsive use? Why are companies normalizing artificial companionship as a service when it is already raising serious concerns about human attachment, emotional development, and the social fabric? Why is society being pushed into deeper dependence on systems whose influence is intimate, continuous, and increasingly unavoidable? If these systems are truly nothing more than products capable of learning from human vulnerability, optimized for engagement, and integrated into daily life at scale, then why are they not being governed with the seriousness such power demands? If this is software whose repercussions remain unclear at this scale and depth of human use, then it should be clearly declared as being ‘in a testing phase,’ with proper user instructions and warnings. If users are effectively participating in the live testing of such systems, then why are they also being made to pay for that participation? Legal Clarity When it comes to grey areas, the legal system often uses precedent from what has been done in the past. Here are some instances that make the path quite clear. We already have precedents for dangerous software being restricted when society recognises that the risks have become too great or the harm has become unacceptable. Kaspersky was prohibited over national-security concerns, Rite Aid’s facial-recognition system was barred over foreseeable consumer harm, and the European Union now bans certain AI systems outright when they cross into “unacceptable risk.” So why, when AI is entering mental health, relationships, governance, and war, are we still pretending that it falls outside the same logic of accountability? Meta, too, has been called to account for harms linked to its platform, and we are still struggling to understand internet exposure and its impact across generations. Why are we then creating something even more intimate and invasive without first learning from that damage? My Appeal My appeal is simple: if AI is your software, built by you, coded by you, controlled by you, then why are you not acting with far greater urgency to stop, limit, or seriously regulate what you have unleashed, when its effects

Here is a small practical trick I wanted to share with everyone 💡 I call it Yes Flow / No Flow. It is a very simple idea, but I think it is actually useful, especially in long AI chats, coding sessions, debugging, and any task that needs many steps. The core goal is consistency ✅ Not just sentence consistency. Not just tone consistency. I mean something deeper: intent consistency instruction consistency context consistency When those three stay aligned, AI usually feels much smarter. That is what I call Yes Flow. Yes Flow means each new answer is built on a clean and consistent base. You read the output and think: “yes, this is correct” “yes, keep going” “yes, this is still aligned” In that state, the conversation often becomes more stable over time. But many people do the opposite without noticing it. The AI makes a small mistake. Then we reply: “no, fix this” “no, rewrite that” “no, not this part” “change this line” “change this logic again” That is what I call No Flow ❌ The problem is not correction itself. The real problem is that every wrong answer, every rejection, and every extra repair instruction stays inside the context. After a few rounds, consistency starts to break. Now the AI is no longer moving forward from one clean direction. It is trying to guess which version is the real one. That is why long tasks often become messy. That is why coding sessions sometimes suddenly fall apart. That is why after several rounds of tiny corrections, the model can start acting weird, confused, or hallucinatory. I saw this a lot when writing code. If I kept telling the AI: “this small part is wrong” “fix this little bug” “change this line again” and did that back and forth several times, then sooner or later the whole thing became unstable. At that point, the model was no longer building from a clean base. It was patching on top of many conflicting mini instructions. That is where hallucination often starts 🔥 So the practical trick is simple: If possible, rewrite the earlier prompt instead of stacking more corrections on top of a broken output. For example: You might start with something vague like: “Find me that famous file.” The AI may return the wrong result, but that wrong result is still useful. It gives you a hint about what your original prompt was missing. Maybe now you realize the problem was not the model itself. Maybe the prompt was too loose. Maybe it needed the domain, the platform, or the topic. At that point, the best move is usually not to keep saying: “No, not that one. Try again.” A better move is to go back and rewrite the earlier prompt with the new clarity you just gained. For example: “Find me that well known GitHub project related to OCR.” Same task. But now the instruction is more specific. The context stays cleaner. Consistency is preserved. And the next result is much more likely to be correct. So the first wrong answer is not always useless. Sometimes it is a hint. But once you get the hint, the cleaner strategy is to improve the original prompt, not keep stacking corrections on top of the wrong branch. Another example: You first say: “Make it shorter.” Later you realize: “I actually want the long version.” That is not automatically No Flow. If the AI adapts cleanly and stays aligned, it is still Yes Flow. So the point is not “never change your request.” The point is: when the request changes, does consistency stay alive or not? That is the whole trick. Yes Flow protects consistency. No Flow slowly breaks consistency. And once consistency breaks too many times, the model starts spending more energy guessing what you mean than actually doing the task. That is why this small trick matters more than it looks. One line summary 🚀 Yes Flow moves forward from a clean consistent base. No Flow keeps patching on top of a broken one. That is my small theory for today. Not a hype post. I was actually frustrated with Claude at first too. I had this strategy I needed to build out. Multi-layered, lots of moving parts, needed to actually be usable not just sound good on paper. I spent days on it. Tried different AI tools, different approaches, different prompts. Everything came back either too vague, too generic, or just basic no sugar no salt. Like it understood the words but not the actual problem. It's that it actually engages with your specific situation if you give it the chance to. Most tools give you an answer. Claude helps you find the right one.
